Rob Dyrdek is known as an American television personality, entrepreneur, actor, and producer. He appeared in several reality shows like "Rob & Big", "Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory", and the comedy clip show, "Ridiculousness". Dyrdek is the creator of the animated series "Wild Grinders", and voiced the main character, Lil Rob.

Early Life

Robert Stanley Dyrdek was born on June 28, 1974 in Kettering, Ohio. His parents, Gene and Patty Dyrdek. At the age of 11, he started to develop an interest in skateboarding, when professional skateboarder Neil Blender gave him his first skateboard.

Career

Dyrdek moved out to California to become a professional skateboarder. He started to ride for DC shoes, and was sponsored until 2016.  In 2010, he founded the Street League Skateboarding competition, and became into an international event that has a $1.6 million prize for its championship event. Dyrdek has been sponsored by several company like Monster Energy, EA Skate, and Silver Trucks.

He appeared with his best friend, bodyguard, and cousins in the MTV reality television series, "Rob & Big" which has more than 30 episodes, and was aired on November 2006 up until April 2008. The American reality television series "Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory" was first broadcast on February 2009, featuring Dyrdek himself, Pfaff, and some of his Dyrdek Enterprise staff. The show has aired a total of seven seasons, with its finale season airing on March 13, 2014. Dyrdek has shown several stunts and events in the show including performing the first kick flip with an automobile, being attacked by a trained tiger, and getting bitten by a shark.

In 2008-2012, Dyrdek made an appearance in other films and shows such as the crime thriller film "Righteous Kill", where he played the character Rambo; the 2009 film "Street Dreams" written and produced by himself, together with Nino Scalia.  He appeared in the 3D adult comedy film "Jackass 3.5", in a scene with actor Johnny Knoxville. In 2011, he started a new show called, "Ridiculousness" with the MTV network. The show was hosted by Dyrdek together with his two friends, Sterling Brim and Chanel West Coast.

Dyrdek was featured in the video games "Skate", and "Skate 2". He has set the record for the largest skateboard, and has set 21 separate Guinness World Records for skateboarding, as part of the show "Rob & Big".

Through his production company Superjacket Productions, he has produced the shows "Ridiculousness", the CMT series "The Dude Perfect Show", "Snack-off", "Crashletes", and "Jagger Eaton's Mega Life".

In 2017, he was a judge for the talent show series "Amazingness".

Personal Life

In April 2015, Dyrdek proposed to his Filipino-American model girlfriend, Bryiana Noelle Flores at Disneyland. The couple got married and have two children; their son, Kodah and daughter Nala Ryan. Dyrdek has one sister. He became an ordained minister through the Universal Life Church as a means to perform his sister's wedding, in December 2011.
